About the Artists:
Whiskey-6 is one of the fastest emerging country-rock acts in New England!
The band is fronted by Samantha-Rae, a beautiful and energetic small town country spitfire who packs both a punch and a sultry country tone. When Samantha isn’t on stage or songwriting with her bandmates, she’s at the stable raising and training horses, or traveling across the country at national horse shows. You immediately understand what Samantha is all about when you see her ride her horse “Superman” bare back at full clip. She’s a fierce and fearless competitor on and off the stage with a warm heart, a wide smile, and a genuine interest in people that can instantly lift your spirit and capture your full attention.
Now add the band, Whiskey-6, a talented bunch of pro-caliber entertainers disguised as fun loving rowdy ranch hands. Don’t be fooled by the brawny plaid shirts and worn-out blue jeans, several of these boys are formally trained and accomplished musicians who developed their ability to entertain audiences through decades of hard work in the Boston music scene.
Whiskey-6 delivers banjo, mandolin, pedal steel, country fiddle, and electric & acoustic guitars with all the vibe of the traditional country genre and add to that energetic lead vocal performances, beautifully blended harmonies, and you’ll definitely feel the heart pounding rock & roll grit at the core.
At a live show, you’ll recognize the musical influences spanning country, folk, rhythm & blues, jazz, and rock. There’s an energy that their loyal followers, and many first time fans, describe as “lightning in a bottle” but it’s probably best described by their tagline #COUNTRYTHATROCKS
Annie Brobst provides the soundtrack to the best nights of her friends’ and fans’ lives! She quickly awes any audience with her undeniable stage presence and keeps them engaged from start to finish with the effortless control and beautiful tone of her voice.
Her unique songwriting, most of which are stories from her own life, ranges from traditional country to pop country with influence from artists like Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde and Jason Isbell. She adds a feminine touch to a bro-country sound as well as passionate and powerful authenticity to storytelling through song.
Annie's musical journey began with her move to North Shore Massachusetts from the Midwest in 2007, and has now become one of the most sought after and awarded artists in New England. She’s accumulated over 10,000 followers across social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Bandsintown, Reverbnation, and more) of engaged and devoted fans - The ABB Army!
Her debut EP “Ghost” from 2016 and her first full album "My First Rodeo" from 2018 are both currently available on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play and a variety of other online markets. Both works were recorded with Sean McLaughlin of 37’ Productions - an award winning producer in the New England music scene. "My First Rodeo" is a collection of stories Annie has experienced throughout her life, with co-writers Rodger Hagopian, Ryan Dupont, Brian Alex, and Drew Smith.
Songs from both the “Ghost” EP and "My First Rodeo" have played regularly on the “Backyard Country” segment of Boston’s country radio station 101.7 The Bull, powered by iHeartMedia.
